2015 Competition Results Have Been Posted on the Texas Mead Association website.

The former Texas Meadfest Competition is now the Texas Mead Cup. The Texas Mead Cup, a BJCP registered amateur mead competition now in its fourth year, is part of the Lone Star Circuit and is one of the largest mead-only competitions in the US. Last year we judged 146 homebrew entries and this year expect more than 180. We have an array of experienced mead judges including BJCP mead certified judges and professional meadmakers. If you enter our competition you will get valuable feedback from experienced judges as well as a chance to complete against some of the best known and most highly decorated home meadmakers in the country.

This year we are proud to announce our inaugural Pro meadery competition ($50 per entry, 2 bottles required), open to all mead producing commercial wineries. Please register all entries on the Reggiebrew Texas Mead Cup Professional Division website. To sign up as a judge, visit the registration website.

This year is our fourth annual Amateur meadmaker competition ($7 per entry, 2 bottles required unless under 12oz in which case 3 bottles are required). Please register all entries on the Reggiebrew Texas Mead Cup Amateur Division website. To sign up as a judge, visit the registration website.

Entries will be accepted at drop-off locations between August 1, 2016 and September 1, 2016. Shipped entries must be received by September 4. Registration is currently OPEN and closes September 1.

By registering for the competition, you agree to be bound by the competition rules.
