The 2017 competition registration will open July 5, 2017.

We apologize for the delay in opening registration. This year we are planning to run the competition on a new competition software which has been custom designed to make the competition go more smoothly. This software is not yet ready for roll-out. Please check back in July. We look forward to your registration.

The 2016 Amateur competition judged 190 entries from 61 entrants. Entries were received from 18 states as well as Poland. The results are now available here.

The 2016 Professional competition results are now available here.

If you are looking for the 2015 results, they are on the Texas Mead Association website.

The former Texas Meadfest Competition is now the Texas Mead Cup. The Texas Mead Cup, a BJCP registered amateur mead competition now in its fourth year, is part of the Lone Star Circuit and is one of the largest mead-only competitions in the US. In 2016 we judged 190 homebrew entries from 18 states and Europe. We have an array of experienced mead judges including BJCP mead certified judges and professional meadmakers. If you enter our competition you will get valuable feedback from experienced judges as well as a chance to complete against some of the best known and most highly decorated home meadmakers in the country.

In 2016 we held our inaugural Pro meadery competition, in addition to the amateur competition.
